Firehouse hosting Santa Claus

The East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 invites children and their parents to visit their firehouse located on One Mile Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 18.

EAST WINDSOR — Children can have their picture taken with Santa Claus and tour the inside of a local firehouse on Saturday.
Members of the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 are inviting children and their parents to visit their firehouse located on One Mile Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
"This event will get the residents out to meet us," Chief Anthony Katawick said. "We want to celebrate the holiday while getting to know them."
Parents are asked to bring cameras with them to take their own pictures. Refreshments will be served.
In the past, the fire company used to travel to each of the neighborhoods in the township with Santa Claus on a firetruck handing out candy canes.
"The township has grown so much and there are so many new developments that we were having trouble coordinating times when volunteers could go around to the neighborhoods," Mr. Katawick said. "We thought we would try this event instead.
"We want the residents to know we care and we look forward to seeing them," he said.
