BORDENTOWN CITY
Police charged Christopher Canavera, 40, of Trenton with driving while intoxicated after a routine traffic stop Monday.
According to police, officers stopped Mr. Canavera for speeding along Route 130/ 206 around 2 a.m. At the stop, police said, officers smelled alcohol on Mr. Canavera’s breath.
After failing sobriety tests, Mr. Canavera was charged and released on his own recognizance, police said.
FLORENCE
Police on Monday afternoon apprehended a Philadelphia man who was wanted in connection with an October bank robbery there.
According to police, officers tracked Ramon Rodriguez-Camacho, 20, to his place of work at the ReadyPac produce plant on Railroad Avenue, based on a report from the Philadelphia Police Department. Arrested without resistance, Mr. Rodriguez-Camacho was charged with being a fugitive from justice and was taken to the Burlington County Jail, police said.
Bail was set at $100,000 and Mr. Rodriguez-Camacho awaits an extradition hearing, police said.
Police charged David Cipolloni, 37, of Trenton with contempt of court, hindering his own apprehension and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle shortly after 1 a.m. Dec. 17.
According to police, officers stopped on Hornberger Avenue to check out a parked car that had a cracked windshield. Police said officers found Mr. Cipolloni in the passenger seat drinking alcohol.
Officers recognized Mr. Cipolloni for being wanted on township contempt of court charges, even though he had identified himself using a phony name, police said. During the investigation, police said, officers found Mr. Cipolloni was wanted on $3,770 in contempt warrants from Florence and Mansfield, and on a no-bail probation violation warrant issued by Burlington County.
Police charged Mr. Cipolloni and took him to the Burlington County Jail, where his bail was revoked.
Police charged 28-year-old Philadelphia resident Christopher Nixon with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a dispute in the streets Dec. 16.
According to police, officers checked out a complaint about a dispute at the intersection of Front and Broad streets around 3 p.m. that day. Police said that officers were directed to Mr. Nixon, who was still there.
While talking to Mr. Nixon, police said, officers smelled marijuana on his breath. A subsequent search uncovered rolling papers and a small amount of suspected marijuana rolled in a piece of newspaper, both of which were in Mr. Nixon’s pants pocket, police said.
Mr. Nixon was charged and released on his own recognizance.
