An East Camplain Road resident reported the theft of rare coins and jewelry from his home at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 13.
Police are investigating the disappearance of the items, which are valued at $30,000.

A South Third Avenue juvenile was charged with shoplifting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 after she allegedly stole a bottle of perfumed body spray, valued at $3.95 from Drug Fair.
The juvenile was processed at headquarters and released to her mother.

Richard T. Killough, 60, of Middlesex was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a small amount of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped his vehicle on Wilhousky Street at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 13.
Mr. Killough was processed at headquarters and released on his own recognizance to a family friend per order of the assistant prosecutor at the Somerset County prosecutor’s office.

Police and fire officials responded to an alarm at Weston School at 1 p.m. Dec. 16. Police found a fire caused by a coat left on an electric stove.
The coat was extinguished and the Fire Department vented the gym area. One cafeteria worker sustained a minor burn to her hand.

Marco Melendez-Zuniga, 59, of Jersey City and Feli A. Tamo, 46, of Perth Amboy were charged with two counts each of soliciting without a permit under borough ordinance at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 16.
Mr. Melendez-Zuniga and Mr. Tamo were processed at headquarters and released.

Police discovered four cars parked at Knopf Street residences were broken into sometime before 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Loose change, an owner’s manual, vehicle registration and insurance cards valued at $10 were taken from an unlocked Ford Taurus.
A cell phone valued at $100 was missing from an unlocked Plymouth Voyager.
The driver’s door window of a Saturn was broken, and damage was done to the driver’s door of a Chevy pickup truck.

David Perrine, 28, of Somerville was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a two-car accident at South Main Street and Kennedy Boulevard at 11:20 p.m. Friday.
No one was injured in the crash.
Mr. Perrine was processed at headquarters and released to his sister.
