William H. French Jr.

   William H. French Jr., 80, died Wednesday at home.
   Born in Chicago, IL, he moved to Pennington in 1939 and was a graduate of the Pennington High School, Class of 1943. He then lived in Hamilton from 1948 until his death.
   He was a graduate of the class of 1951 from Rider College with a degree in accounting. Mr. French served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 and attained the rank of Storekeeper 2nd Class aboard the USS LSM 237, and earned several awards.
   He retired in 1983 from the U.S. Postal Service Vehicle Maintenance Facility as administrative clerk with 34 years of federal service. He was honored by the Postal Service with three special achievement awards and one distinguished service award. He also was a member of American Legion Post 458, V.F.W. 491 and Chapter 127 of the NARFE.
   Son of the late William H. and Annette Hoover French Sr., he is survived by many cousins.
   Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton.
   Friends may call 9:15-9:45 a.m. Friday at the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
