Poised to open its new Red Bank theater in May, Two River Theatre Co. has received financial support from a broad spectrum of public and private sources. Recent gifts have come from local philanthropist Judith Stanley Coleman and JCP&L/First Energy Foundation. Coleman and husband James M. “Chip” Coleman have committed to contributing $100,000 toward the company’s new home on Bridge Avenue on the former site of Blaisdell Lumber. The donation puts TRTC halfway toward its $5 million capital campaign goal. JCP&L’s $5,000 contribution will support the company’s No Seats Empty program, which will provide theater seats for special matinee performances to economically disadvantaged Monmouth County students.
