Residents appointed to 14 boards, committees.

In one of its first official acts of the new year, Township Council filled vacancies on 14 boards and committees Tuesday night.
At the Affordable Housing Board, Edward Caldwell of Johnson Avenue and Charles Conover of Laurel Wood Drive were named to three-year terms as regular members, ending in 2007. Christopher B. Bobbitt of Titus Avenue was named to an unexpired term that ends in 2005.
William Michaelson of Huron Way was appointed to a four-year term on the Cable Telecommunications Advisory Board, ending in 2008. He also serves on the Lawrence Township Board of Education.
Appointed to the Construction Board of Appeals were Richard Hocking of Reeder Avenue, Gary Michaud of Lawnside Drive and Philip Paul of Wenczel Drive. Their four-year terms end in 2008.
Harold Vereen of Bunker Hill Road was named to a five-year term on the Ewing-Lawrence Sewerage Authority, ending in 2009.
At the Growth and Redevelopment Committee, Thomas Breeland of Woodmont Drive, John Conroy of Lakedale Drive, Tushar Patel of Dayna Lane and Christopher B. Bobbitt of Titus Avenue were appointed to three-year terms as regular members, ending in 2007.
Sharon White-Johnson of Scenic Drive in West Trenton was named to serve a three-year term as a representative from the business community.
Phyllis Feinblum of Foxcroft Drive and Marcia Steinberg of Franklin Corner Road were appointed to serve three-year terms, ending in 2007, on the Health Advisory Committee.
At the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee, Ruth Barringer of Point Court, Colette Coolbaugh of Cliveden Court, J. David Donahue of Balsam Court, Frances Merritt of Stonicker Drive, and Douglas Sargent of Cold Soil Road were named to four-year terms, ending in 2008.
John J. Maiorana of Andrew Drive was named to an unexpired term, ending in 2007.
Pakesh I. Patel of Lawrence Road and Robert Wittick of Pennington Road were named to three-year terms on the Human Relations Committee, ending in 2007.
Michele Hlewicki of President Avenue was appointed to a two-year term on the Municipal Alliance on Drugs and Alcohol, ending in 2006.
At the Open Space Advisory Committee, Celia Bavier of Franklin Corner Road was named to a three-year term, ending in 2007.
Richard Farletta of Alexandria Court, David Hoover of Eldridge Avenue and John Oakley of Ketterer Court were appointed to two-year terms on the Public Safety Advisory Committee, ending in 2006.
Edmund Budzinski of Fieldboro Drive, Edward Fedorko of Lawrenceville Road and Christopher Sawasky of Wexford Drive were named to serve three-year terms on the Recreation Advisory Committee, ending in 2007.
Named to the Route 1 Redevelopment Committee were Michel Frank of Brunswick Avenue, Mark Kalnas of Putnam Avenue, Jack Kanarek of Alyce Court, John Maiorana of Andrew Drive and William Zimmer of Pear Street. Their three-year terms end in 2007.
At the Senior Executive Committee, Ruth Banach of Hillsdale Road, Anna Colavita of Rolfe Avenue and Bill Nemeth of Winchester Avenue were appointed to four-year terms ending in 2008.
And at the Shade Tree Advisory Committee, Henry Hoffman of Vanderveer Drive and Claire Toft of Puritan Avenue were appointed to three-year terms, ending in 2007.
