The Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Mercer County Community College, will offer a seminar, "Retirement: Are You Ready For It?," on Thursday, Jan. 20, at the college’s Conference Center on the West Windsor campus.
Part of the Mercer Business Forum seminar series, the event begins at 7:45 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast, and continues from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Financial specialists from Smith Barney will discuss the issues affecting retirement planning, and what retirees need to do to get ready. The public is invited to attend the forum, with a special invitation extended to educators.
According to MCCC Dean Bill Mate, "There have been several buyouts in school districts that affect educators, so we encourage them to come and learn more about their retirement planning options."
