Robert Clair Boyer
   Robert Clair Boyer, 92, died Jan. 4 at Acorn Glen Assisted Living in Princeton.
   Born in Johnstown, Pa., he lived in Princeton and was formerly of Westfield.
   He received a bachelor’s degree from Albright College, and a master’s degree from Oberlin College. He was a teacher at Oberlin College for three years.
   Mr. Boyer retired after 45 years of service from Exxon Oil Co. in Linden, where he was a research chemist in the Product Application Research department, working largely with lubricants.
   He was an elder in the Second Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, an active member of the Westfield Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Circus Model Builders Association.
   His lifelong interest in the circus industry allowed him to become an elephant handler as a young man.
   He was the son of the late Ira S. and the late Ella (Bittner) Boyer.
   Survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth (Kuhl) Boyer of Princeton; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Russell Swanson of Hopewell; a son and daughter-in-law, J. Robert and Laura Boyer of Pittstown; grandchildren, Jennifer Swanson, Christopher Swanson, Karin Swanson, Elizabeth Boyer and Stephanie Boyer; and a brother, Harold (Bill) Boyer of Johnstown, Pa.
   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at The Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton. Friends may call on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
   Interment will be private.

Eric O. Wildgrube
   Eric O. Wildgrube, 71, died on Jan. 5 at home.
   Born in New York City , he spent his youth in Austria and Germany and returned to New York City in 1947. He and his family have lived in Hopewell Township since 1960.
   Mr. Wildgrube served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
   He was a baker and pastry chef by trade and he and his wife owned two bakeries, one in East Orange and another in Princeton. He retired from Scanticon Hotel and Conference Center and then taught in the Culinary Arts Department of Mercer County Community College for a short time.
   He was active in the Cub and Boy Scout Troop 1776 and also at the Open Air Theater in Washington Crossing Park in its early years.
   Son of the late Eric O. and Cecelia Wildgrube and step-brother of the late Dr. Guenther E. Wildgrube, he is survived by his wife, Irene; four children and three of their spouses, Eric O. Wildgrube III and his wife, Paula, of Alabama, Richard Wildgrube of Pennington and Janet Steinwedel and husband, Steve of Delaware and Nancy Cahill and husband, Tim of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Eric 1V, Nancy, Julia and Jason Wildgrube and Gabrielle, Zachary and Jordan Cahill; a sister Marianne Blakeman and her son Devon; a sister-in-law, Maria Wildgrube; and nieces, nephews and cousins in Pennsylvania.
   Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today (Friday) in St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Route 29, Titusville.
   Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. at the church, preceding the Mass.
   Cremation will follow at the Ewing Crematory.

   Arrangements are by the Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington.
James DelleMonache
   James DelleMonache, 76, died at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Tuesday.
   Born in Pennington, he had been a lifelong resident.
   He attended the Hopewell Township schools and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
   He was police chief in Pennington from 1960 to 1990. He was a founding member of the Pennington First Aid Squad, treasurer of the New Jersey State Chiefs of Police, a treasurer and former trustee of the Pennington Fire Company, and a member of the Mercer County Firemen’s Association. He also was a member of Elks Lodge, No. 105 of West Trenton and the St. James Seniors.
   Brother of the late Rena Messina, he is survived by his wife Carmela DelleMonache; two sisters and a brother in law, Eva Dilts and Clare and Bill Hellewell, all of Hopewell.
   Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington.
   Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington.
Margaret F. Cardinal
   Margaret Forchi Cardinal, 85, of Bordentown, formerly of Pennington, died Wednesday at home.
   Born in Trenton, she was retired from General Motors Corp. in West Trenton. She was a member of Incarnation Roman Catholic Church in Ewing, the Senior Citizens Group of the Church and also of G.M.
   Daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Capria Forchi, wife of the late Frank P. Cardinal, who died in December 2003, and sister of the late Adam Forchi, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Alberta Cardinal of Hamilton Township and MaryAnn and Robert S. VanBuren of Bordentown; two sisters, Victoria Gaug of California and Marion Mazzola of Seaside; six grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Jamie Bartolomei, Michael Rabatie and his fiancée Michelle Hovan, Victoria Fischer, Joy Baszczowski, Billie Ann and her husband Angelo Graiff, and Marla Baszczowski; three great-grandchildren, Christina Bartolomei, Nicholas Bartolomei and Zakary Fischer; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing.
   Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
   Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.
