LETTERS: Appreciation for coat drive

To the editor:

On behalf of Dr. Debra DeMarco of Monroe Chiropractic Care, I would like to publicly acknowledge the people without whom the holiday coat drive would not have been possible.
In Jamesburg: Family Framers and Fiddleheads. In Monroe: Woodland, Mill Lake and Barclay Brook schools; Mountain Martial Arts; One-Hour Martinizing (a special thank you for not only collecting, but cleaning the coats, as well). In Spotswood: Immaculate Conception School; G&S Auto; The Goddard School; and Inland Container. In East Brunswick: Drama Hair and Nails & Head to Toe Salon and Bayshore Music in Middletown. And a very special thank you to Leon Tovey and Melissa Hayes and The Cranbury Press. Because of your talented efforts in getting the word out, we distributed approximately 1,000 coats to families in need.
On a personal note, I would like to thank my daughter and her friends for posters and sorting, and my friends for doing whatever was needed. And especially to Dr. DeMarco — all those years of training could not prepare for countless hours of washing coats. You truly are dedicated to the health and well being of all people.
And to Landmark Education, for opening the door for this worthwhile project. We look forward to doing even better next year.
