New schedule to give committee members more time to work on resolutions for township.

The Township Committee has amended its meeting schedule to reduce the number of monthly meetings from three to two, and they will start a little earlier.
The committee adopted a resolution Monday setting a schedule for meetings to establish a workshop and agenda meeting for the second Monday of each month and a regular meeting for every fourth Monday of the month.
Both meetings will start at 7 p.m. Under the previous calendar, the committee met at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month and 8 p.m. on the fourth Monday.
Township Administrator Frederick Carr said that while the new schedule designates one meeting to set an agenda and one as a regular meeting, action may be taken at either time.
In November, Committeewoman Pari Stave spearheaded an effort to change the meeting schedule to give the committee and township staff more time in between meetings to work on items in work session and to make changes to resolutions and ordinances introduced at previous meetings.
