Barbara K. Mangan
   Barbara K. Mangan, 78, died Thursday, Dec. 30, in Hospice Care at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Worcester, Mass., she lived in Concord, Mass., Chicago and Atlanta before moving to Concordia in 1984.
   She was a 1944 graduate of Rutland High School and attended the School of Fine Arts in Boston for two years. She had a 14 year career in retail service with Federated Department Stores, based in Atlanta, working at Marshall Fields Department Stores in Chicago. She was a member of the Golf Club and Christian Fellowship Club, both in Concordia, and the Senior Citizens Club and Friends of the Public Library, both in Monroe. She was a founding member of the Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe.
   She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John C.; a son, John Jr. of Sanford, Fla.; three daughters, Carol Whittaker of Salisbury, Mass., Gale Michaud of Scituate, Mass., and Linda Anderson of Wheaton, Ill.; two brothers, Donald King of Cleveland, Ohio and Wayne King of Rutland, Vt., and nine grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held under the supervision of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe, on Monday, Jan. 3. Internment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, Rutland, Vt., at the convenience of the family. A committal service will be scheduled and
announced in the spring.
