FINANCIAL SERVICES
Theodore "Ted" J. Kompa has been elected for 2005 as vice president-finance of the Commercial Finance Association. Founded in 1944, CFA is a trade association whose members include the asset-based lending arms of domestic and foreign commercial banks, small and large independent finance organizations and financing subsidiaries of major industrial corporations.
Mr. Kompa, president and CEO of Business Alliance Capital in Princeton, provides loans to small and mid-size businesses, primarily as an asset-based lender.
A member of the Turnaround Management Association and the New Jersey State and Mercer County Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Kompa resides in Lawrence.
HOSPITALITY
Harrison Conference Center & Hotel, formerly known as the Merrill Lynch Conference Center, at 900 Scudders Mill Road, Plainsboro, is among 29 conference centers selected to receive Meeting News 2004 Planners’ Choice Award.
The awards are selected by the readers of Meeting News, including corporate, association and incentive meeting planners, who are given the opportunity to recognize consistent excellence in quality conference and hospitality service.
Harrison Conference Center is owned and operated by Aramark Harrison Lodging, a division of ARAMARK Corp. of Philadelphia.
BUSINESS ADVOCATES
The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the following business leaders were recently appointed to serve on the chamber’s board of directors: Ann Lustenberg, director external affairs, Verizon, and Anne O’Neill, director, Alsace/USA.
NONPROFIT
Enable Inc., a not-for-profit Princeton-based organization that serves people with disabilities, recently elected William Gregory Moten as president of its board of trustees. Mr. Moten, who has been on the board for six years, had been serving as interim president for the last six months since Steven Iverson stepped down to retire.
Mr. Moten, an architect with more than 20 years of experience, is technical director at Glensler in Morristown. An active volunteer in the community, he lives in Somerset with his wife, Andrea, and their daughters, Camille and Maya.
Dr. Susan Fuchs, of Yardley, Pa., has announced that she will be stepping down from her position as medical director of the Association for Advancement of Mental Health based in West Windsor. Dr. Fuchs has served that position for 13 years. During her tenure, the agency has achieved accreditation by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO), implemented a Medication Education Program, and started the evolution of the agency into serving families, children and adolescents.
In making her announcement, Dr. Fuchs said that her desire to focus her time and energy on the expansion of her private practice was the driving force behind her decision to step down.
AAMH is a private, nonprofit community-based mental health agency that provides comprehensive services to Mercer County individuals and their families.
LAW
Trial lawyer Craig J. Hubert has recently joined Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein, Blader & Lehmann as partner. His practice will focus on personal injury.
Mr. Hubert is president-elect of the Mercer County Bar Association and was named "Attorney of the Year" for 2004 by the Mercer County American Inn of Court in recognition of his efforts to advance the fundamental tenets of ethics and civility of the legal profession.
A former partner in the Hamilton law firm of Brotman, Graziano & Hubert, he is currently the municipal prosecutor for Pennington Borough.
Mr. Hubert grew up in Trenton and currently resides in Ringoes with his wife and four children.
The Lawrence-based firm of Stark & Stark announced the following new associates: E. David Krulewicz, of Yardville, has joined the firm in the employment law group and Stuart A. Mickelberg, of Philadelphia, has joined the business law group. Both associate attorneys will practice in the Lawrence office.
Stark & Stark has offices in Lawrence, Cherry Hill and Philadelphia.

Cited in particular is the site’s "wealth of free information," including its links to corporate and tax information in all 50 states.

KSS Architects, a full service design firm with offices in Princeton and Philadelphia, has announced the following new hires in their Princeton office:
Irene Saprissa of Lawrence and Benjamin J. Shermeta of Philadelphia have been added to the firm as architectural interns. Sarah Miller joins KSS as marketing coordinator. Prior to joining KSS, Ms. Miller was an editor at McGraw-Hill Education.
