Princeton Future discussions to be broadcast on cable TV

Princeton Community Television, TV30, will broadcast Princeton Future discussions on the Witherspoon Street corridor.
From 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, TV30 will air Princeton Future’s kickoff meeting on the Witherspoon Street project that was held on Nov. 13.
Princeton Future’s next public meeting will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at the Princeton Public Library. A tape of that meeting will run on TV30 on Jan. 20 and 21. Other Princeton Future discussions on Witherspoon Street will be shown on TV30 in subsequent weeks.
TV30’s program guide can be viewed at www. princetontv.org/tv30.
The relocation of the University Medical Center at Princeton or expansion at its present site raises questions about the impact on surrounding neighborhoods. With the hospital issues unresolved and other development now occurring along Witherspoon Street, Princeton Future, a nonprofit citizens group that facilitates community discussions and conducts planning studies about the future development for Princeton Borough and Princeton Township, launched a six-month study of the street and neighborhood in November. The group is also concerned about the potential effect of piecemeal and uncoordinated development of smaller parcels.
Princeton Community TV (Channel 30 on the Patriot Media cable system in Princeton) is a public access station run primarily by local volunteers and overseen by the Joint Princeton Cable TV Committee.
