Police, along with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, are investigating a hunting accident on a right-of-way between Chapel Road and School Lane Jan. 4.
The victim, Michael J. Rice, 20, of State Road, Croydon, Pa., was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, Pa., with an injury to the upper left arm from a pellet from a shotgun. The injury was not life-threatening.
Police and the commission have interviewed a number of people, including other hunters in the area. The person who fired the shot has not been located. The investigation will continue by the commission.
Solebury police will continue to assist.
Jan. 4, Police charged John P. Beveridge, 40, of Main Street, New Hope, with threats, public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct after he was found walking along Street Road at Route 202.
Police were assisted by Buckingham Township police.
Mr. Beveridge was taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Jan. 6, there were two antique flower containers taken from a Carversville business.
The containers were described as an antique wire egg basket and an antique milk cooler valued at approximately $75.
They were taken from outside the business sometime between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
Jan. 5, there was a one-vehicle accident on Route 263 near Aquetong Road.
Michael G. Branin, 32, of 5th Street, Ewing, N.J., lost control of his vehicle, which left the road.
He was taken to Doylestown Hospital for injuries. The vehicle was towed.
