A cut-a-thon will be held Jan. 22 to benefit a memorial scholarship in the name of Louise Stewart, a cosmetology teacher at Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High Schools, East Brunswick, who died in 2002. Sebastiano Hair Studio will hold the fund-raiser from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the J.C. Penney court.
The event will also benefit the Simon Youth Foundation, which supports educational enrichment.
Guests will have a choice of a wet cut for $12, normally a $15 to $18 fee, or a $25 cut, finish and picture by a pro-stylist, typically $35 or more. It will also include free samples and a 20 percent discount on salon products.
