The board of trustees of Princeton Community Housing announced the award of a $15,000 grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation for the Congregate Care Program at Elm Court.
The Congregate Care Program provides a nutritious meal each day to senior residents who are eligible to participate. In addition, it provides light housekeeping and personal care, as needed, for these residents.
"This grant will enable us to continue supporting our residents in their wish to live independently and we are grateful to the Princeton Area Community Foundation for its contribution," said Rhona Porter, congregate coordinator at Elm Court.
Elm Court, located off Elm Road, houses Princeton low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled residents. Princeton Community Housing, a nonprofit corporation, built the 89-unit Elm Court in 1985 and is proceeding with an expansion that will add 68 units.
