WEST WINDSOR Denise Lynn Bertles died Sunday at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was 18.
Born in Princeton, she resided in West Windsor with her grandparents.
She was a 2004 graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South and was a four-year member of the marching band.
She attended Moore College of Art & Design and was currently a student at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Her interests included the arts and designing and building sets for the spring musical at the high school. She directed one-act plays, enjoyed photography, animals, juggling, studies of the Civil War era and trips with her grandmother and siblings.
She attended and worked as a counselor at Mercer County Community College’s Tomato Patch summer program.
She is survived by her grandparents, Ramona and Paul Bertles of West Windsor; sister Kelly Bertles of Hamilton; brothers Kevin and David Bertles of West Windsor; parents Timothy and Patricia Bertles; maternal grandparents Patricia and Stephen Gozley of Clearwater, Fla.; great-aunts Carol Hullfish, Estelle Herman and Joan Lup; and her loyal friend who remained at her bedside throughout her illness, Chrissie Macken.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.

Adelaide E. Klemann
Former Princeton resident
JAMESBURG Adelaide E. Klemann died Thursday at Castle at Forsgate. She was 93.
Born in Secaucus, she lived in Tenafly most of her adult life before moving to Princeton eight years ago.
She had been a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tenafly.
Wife of the late George Klemann, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Dr. Alfred Tria of Princeton; grandchildren Sean, Scott, Alicia, Pierce, Taylor and Megan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 8 a.m., Saturday at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton with the Rev. Dr. John Mark Goerss officiating.
Interment will follow in Lutheran Cemetery, Middle Village, N.Y.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dr. Patricia Kellogg-Dennis
Former Princeton resident
TRENTON Dr. Patricia Kellogg-Dennis died Saturday at Capital Health System at Mercer. She was 66.
Born and raised in Long Island, N.Y., she moved to Princeton in 1970 and to Trenton in 1980.
She was associate professor of English at Rider University and was a member of the English faculty more than 30 years.
She began as an instructor in the evening school in 1971 and joined the full-time English faculty a year later. She taught literature and mythology, creative writing-poetry, introduction to Shakespeare and composition courses.
Her poems and scholarly essays were widely published and she presented papers at academic conferences throughout the world.
An actress, she starred in several local productions, most notably as the schoolteacher in "Miss Margarida’s Way," and appeared in several Rider productions including a play she wrote, "The Relative."
Daughter of the late Jack Rossworn and Gertrude Dilworth Rossworn, wife of the late George F. Dennis, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law John and Kim Kellogg of Bexley, Ohio, Patrick Kellogg of Charlottesville, Va,. and Peter and Denise Kellogg of Williamsburg, Va.; stepson Philip Dennis and wife Louise of Yardley, Pa.; stepdaughter Susan Minster and husband Gary of Morrisville, Pa.; sisters and brother-in-law Sheila and Richard Bennitt of Asheville, N.C., and Kathy Thomas of Maine; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren Erin, Ian, Nicholas, Thomas, Jack, Teresa, Justin, Lindsey, Valerie and Danielle.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. today at Rider University Chapel.

Ralph H. Weinberg
Son lives in Princeton
EWING Ralph H. Weinberg died Monday at Greenwood House. He was 86.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident there most of his life before moving to Ewing five years ago.
He was a self-employed businessman, retiring 12 years ago.
He attended Temple University.
A World War II veteran, he was a lieutenant colonel for 25 years in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve.
Husband of the late Naomi Weinberg, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law Maurice and Elaine Weinberg of Princeton; sister Frances Goldman of Philadelphia; grandchildren Alex, Aaron and Naomi Weinberg; and great-granddaughters Samara and Izzy Weinberg.
Funeral and burial were Wednesday.
The period of mourning is being observed at the Weinberg residence in Princeton.

Worked at university
WEST WINDSOR G. Elizabeth Shaner died Saturday at home. She was 78.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she was employed at the Institute for Public Relations, Princeton University.
Daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Gack Zipprich, wife of the late Charles H. Shaner Jr., she is survived by her brother, Andrew Zipprich of City Island, N.Y.; stepson Charles Shaner III of Absecon; and stepdaughter Barbara Martin of Sussex, England.
Funeral was private under the direction of Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
