Red Cross searching for local Good Samaritans

   WEST WINDSOR — The American Red Cross is accepting nominations for its Good Samaritan Awards, which honor people who performed extraordinary acts of courage and compassion by providing emergency care without expectation or acceptance of compensation.
   Nominees must work or live in Middlesex, Mercer or Hunterdon counties or lower Bucks County in Pennsylvania.
   Good Samaritan acts include life-saving actions resulting from Red Cross-certified training in CPR, First Aid, AED or Water Rescue and must have taken place between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2004.
   Nominees can be entered under one of the following categories: Good Samaritan Adult, ages 21 years or older, or Good Samaritan Youth, under 21 years old.
   Nominations are due at the American Red Cross Lower Bucks County Chapter by Monday, Jan. 31.
   The award recipients will be honored at a special breakfast on March 16. Award recipients must be available for video and photography prior to the breakfast.
