Mary Pavlic Finn

Mrs. Finn, 86, of the Avenel section of Woodbridge, died Jan. 12 at home. Born in Newark, she had resided in Avenel for the past 60 years. Until 1973, she was employed for five years by the Costa Ice Cream Co., Woodbridge. She was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Avenel, and also belonged to the Woodbridge AARP and the Avenel Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased in 1976 by her first husband, William Pavlic, and in 1995 by her second husband, Frank Finn. She was also predeceased by two sons, Thomas Pavlic in 1968 and William Pavlic in 2004. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Robert Vernachio of Matawan; a son, James Pavlic of Avenel; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel, followed by interment at St. Gertrude’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.

John Muller

Mr. Muller, 85, of Silver City, N.M., died Dec. 31 at home. Born in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge Township, he had resided in Woodbridge and Las Vegas before moving to Silver City 1 1/2 years ago. Prior to retiring many years ago, he was employed as a paint supervisor for Ford Motor Co., Edison, for 25 years. Mr. Muller was predeceased in 1993 by his wife, Hildred Lucille Muller. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick C. and Monica Muller of Silver City; a brother, Michael Muller; a sister, Marge Russo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, with Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge, in charge of arrangements.
