Three men, wanted for committing back-to-back armed robberies on Jan. 8 are still at large, police report.
In a statement released Friday, Princeton Township police provided detailed descriptions of the three men.
One suspect they report as a white male, with short dark brown hair.
A second is described as a thin black male, around 19 to 20 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and boots, and carrying a silver semi-automatic handgun.
Police describe the third suspect as a 19- to 20-year-old black male of medium build and 5 feet 10 inches tall. This suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt, and later put on a dark ski mask. During the second robbery, he displayed a black handgun.
The three men drove a white, four-door vehicle with no hubcaps. The car, which could have been either a Buick Century or a Pontiac, had an unknown New Jersey license plate.
The suspects are wanted for two armed robberies that occurred only 40 minutes apart.
Police said the first incident took place when a 22-year-old man was robbed on Aiken Avenue in Princeton Borough. After asking the man for a cigarette, two of the suspects took out a gun, stole the victim’s wallet and pushed him in the face and neck, police said. The victim was treated and released from the University Medical Center at Princeton.
In the second incident, police said a 17-year old juvenile was robbed of some of his clothing and possessions while walking home on Mount Lucas Road. Two handguns were displayed during this robbery, police said.
In both incidents, only two of the men exited the vehicle, while the third remained in the front passenger seat, police said. Also, in both robberies the victims were made to take off their boots or sneakers, police said.
