Dine and donate at local eatery

By: Mae Rhine
Here’s a chance to have a good meal and help local people as well as the victims of the tsunami.
Patrons who eat dinner at the Lambertville Station Monday, Jan. 24, will help both local and international victims.
The waiters and waitresses of the restaurant will donate the evening’s tips to help three local families who lost their Lambertville homes to a fire over the holidays.
Some of the money also will be used to help survivors of the tsunami that ravaged parts of Asia.
Just days before Christmas, a fire destroyed a four-unit apartment building on York Street in Lambertville, leaving 14 people without homes. Several of the displaced are employees of the restaurant and the Lambertville Station Inn where they work in both the restaurant and the inn.
Some of the employees received temporary lodging at the inn, but the wait staff wanted to do more.
So take the family out for dinner and help those less fortunate at the same time.
