William N. Peters, 26, of Monroe was charged with possession drug paraphernalia and less than 50 grams of marijuana after police stopped his car on North Main Street at 7:21 a.m. Jan. 11.
Mr. Peters’s vehicle was towed and he was processed at headquarters and released on $1,000 bail.

An anonymous caller reported a chicken running in the street near the intersection of Washington Avenue and South First Street at 4:14 p.m. Jan. 13.
Patrols responded and confirmed the chicken appeared to be nesting in some shrubs along Washington Avenue.
Animal control officers were contacted to take care of the chicken.

Andres Estrella Jr., 34, of Somerset was charged with driving with a revoked license after police stopped his car at 2:38 p.m. Jan 13.
Mr. Estrella was issued a summons and released after he paid $750 bail on an active warrant from Middlesex.

Leonard Fortuna, 40, of West Camplain Road was charged with driving while intoxicated, after police stopped his car at North Main Street and North Orchard Street at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 14.
Mr. Fortuna also was charged with obstruction of justice and simple assault after striking an officer when he was taken to police headquarters.
Mr. Fortuna was released from the Somerset County Jail Jan. 15 after posting $1,500 bail.

A 17-year-old Raritan resident was charged with driving while intoxicated Jan. 14 at 11:24 p.m.
When police stopped the juvenile’s car on Jasinski Avenue, he backed up into the marked police car. There was no damage to the police car.
The juvenile was issued a summons and released to his mother.

Lawrence McGriff, 29, was charge with shoplifting unknown items from the A&P at 8:05 a.m. Jan. 16.
Mr. McGriff was transported to the Somerset County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.

A 17-year-old Manville resident was charged with driving while intoxicated at 9:56 p.m. Jan. 16.
Police stopped the juvenile after he allegedly hit a parked car on Harrison Avenue and left the scene.
The juvenile was processed at police headquarters and released to his mother.
