The Lambertville Basketball Association kicked off its 2005 season Jan. 15 with several games.
Here is a look at some of the games played during that week.
Amwell Auto 20
PNC 19
This game went down to the final possession with Amwell Auto holding on for the win.
Andrew Koval led Amwell Auto with 10 points, Jon Wendehorn and Joey Quinn had four points each, and Jimmy Eick added two points. The defense was led by Hunter McGuire, Jared Bogdan, Alex Frazee and Patrick Leary.
Cody Conley led PNC with 11 points, Hunter Ploski added four points, and Kyle Tillett and Patrick Ferry each chipped in with two points. Kyle Richardson, James Barker, Alfreo Amendolana and Michael Failla led the PNC defense.
Both teams played excellent defense and an excellent game.
Mortgage Mobility 10
Garefino picked up its first win of the season over Mortgage Mobility.
Garefino showed good team work in the win. Devon Troutman and Jacob Phillips led Garefino with good shooting while the rest of the team assisted in fine passing and defense.
Jake Whitaker and Jason Shurts showed good shooting and passing with Daniel Begg assisting.
Devon Troutman led Garefino with 20 points, while Jake Phillips added 12 points, Robert Albanir scored six points, and Daniel Voorhees chipped in with four points. Aaron Weber, Shane Duer, Josh Phillips and Liam Piscatelli played great defense for Garefino.
Jake Whitaker led Mortgage Mobility with six points, and Jason Shurts and Daniel Begg each added two points. The defensive effort was led by Bobby Goodwin, John Conlon, Brad Bolaski and Paul Cally.
Toy Kingdom 15
Nautilus Management 0
Toy Kingdom started its season with a win in a game that was a tough battle from beginning to end.
Kelly Albanir led a balanced Toy Kingdom attack with six points. The remainder of the scoring came from Laura Kropp with three points and Tori Smiegocki, Jennifer Wengryn and Kirsten Threat-Peters all with two points each. Rachel Slovak played tough defense and grabbed numerous rebounds.
The Nautilus team played tough throughout the game. The tough defense was led by Shryl Myers, Devon Conlon and Noelle Hedges.
On offense, great passing was led by Amanda Nielsen, Alexandra Tucker and Andrea Wisnewski.
Kiwanis 21
Sneakers Plus 10
Kiwanis, behind point guard Sam Franzini’s 10 points, beat Sneakers Plus 21-10.
The Kiwanis team spread its scoring between Zach Tettemer and Peter Mercer-Pointer with four points each and Andrew Immordino with two points.
Taylor Agliata lead Kiwanis with six points, while Connor Weber and Carlos Sandoval scored two points each. Adam Warwinsky contributed four rebounds and played solid defense as did Joey Ghirardi, Cody Stintsman and Paul McMullan.
Pedersen Gallery 22
In a true show of sportsmanship, the Pedersen Gallery team played with only four players when the T-Recs team could only field four players.
T-Recs jumped out to an early lead and led at the end of the first quarter 18-7.
Both teams took the opportunity to rest during the second quarter, and so the score changed just slightly with T-Recs maintaining a 26-9 halftime lead.
The teams played evenly in the third quarter with the score at the end of the quarter being 36-15.
In the fourth quarter, Pedersen’s Gallery stung T-Recs with very aggressive defense, holding the team to only two points and closing the gap to the final score of 38-22.
Matt Sullivan led T-Recs with 16 points followed by Chase Opdyke with 10 points, Josh Cullen with eight points and Mark Maltese with four points.
Pedersen’s Gallery was led by Max Whitaker with 12 points followed by Sean Mosby with eight points, including a three pointer, and Hunter Johnson with two points.
Pat Sullivan, Colby Chatterton and Casey MacChesney led the team on defense.
