Michael Bukovecky Jr.

   MANVILLE — Michael Bukovecky Jr. died Jan. 19 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 85.
   Born in Manville, he was a lifelong resident.
   He served in the United States Army.
   Mr. Bukovecky worked in operations for the Johns-Manville Corporation in Manville for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was also a member of the Johns-Manville Quarter-Century Club.
   He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough serving as a past trustee, member of the Holy Name Society and an usher.
   A brother, John Bukovecky; and a sister, Elizabeth Waslin, are deceased.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mary Menapace of Manville and Anne Peters of Toms River; and many nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Jan. 22 from the Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a Divine Liturgy at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
