Thomas Pugner
Thomas Pugner, 50, of Monroe, died Thursday, Jan. 20, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division.
Born in South River, Mr. Pugner was raised in Sayreville, moving to Monroe 23 years ago. He was employed for 26 years as a welder and pipe fitter through Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 9, Manalapan. Mr. Pugner was a communicant of St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg.
His father, Stephen Pugner, is deceased. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Shnnick; a son, Stephen Thomas; his mother, Laverne McCutheon Pugner of Sayreville; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Barbara Pugner of Monroe; and two nieces, Janessa and Kimberly Pugner of Monroe.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg. Burial was held at the church cemetery.
