A Buckingham Township woman was killed in a collision at Aquetong and Lower Mountain roads in Solebury Jan. 26.

SOLEBURY Preliminary results of an accident investigation indicate a Buckingham Township woman who was killed in a collision at Aquetong and Lower Mountain roads failed to stop at a stop sign, Solebury Township Police Chief Richard Mangan said Tuesday.
The accident is still under investigation, Chief Mangan said.
Jan. 26, Margaret Silberstein, 87, of Blue Jay Court was traveling west on Lower Mountain Road. As she entered the Aquetong Road intersection, a pickup truck struck Ms. Silberstein’s driver’s side door. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, Michael J. McMenamin, 49, of Wismer Road in Ottsville, Pa., was not injured.
The investigation continues with help from the Buckingham Township Police Department.
Assisting at the scene of the accident were the New Hope Eagle Fire Company, the Midway Fire Company, Central Bucks Medic and the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad.
