Noemi "Mimi" Tuschak, 88, died Jan. 23 at Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington.
Born in Vienna, Austria, and raised in Budapest, Hungary, she was a resident of Plainfield and Hillsborough before settling in Pennington.
In her early years, she was a social worker for the Middlesex County Welfare Board, a special education teacher and later a real estate agent in Plainfield and Hillsborough.
She received a degree in psychology from Penn State University.
She was a member of the First Unitarian Society of Plainfield for 28 years and later joined the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton and was an active member for the past 25 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Gail; daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Craig Wolfson; stepdaughter Wanda Wheeler-Lovejoy; grandchildren Gretchen, Santoshi, Keith, Josh, Jaya, Gabrielle and Grace; and dear friend Ed Carr. She is predeceased by former husbands Seymour Tuschak and Al Wheeler.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, 50 Cherry Hill Road, Princeton.
