Budget number five is more of the same for President Bush.

It is difficult to know what to make of a $2.57 trillion budget proposal that contains some smoke and a lot of mirrors. President George W. Bush is proposing to cut 150 programs, while also making permanent tax cuts that primarily aided the wealthy. This budget continues the president’s redistribution of wealth upward and this does take into account some credibility issues raised here by Dan Froomkin in The Washington Post.
