To the editor:
It has come to my attention that the Township Council has hired lobbyists, for $120,000, to urge the state to move faster on widening Route 1 in South Brunswick.
If the state has not determined by now that a bottleneck exists in our township, what makes the council think that lobbying will help. The council needs to remember that it is the taxpayers’ money it is spending, not the council’s. Eventually the well will run dry.
