G. Hugh Harr Jr.
   G. Hugh Harr Jr., 78, of Monroe, died Wednesday, Feb. 2.
   Mr. Harr was born on Oct. 25, 1926 in Bristol, Tenn. He was a U.S. Air Force World War II Veteran, past president of the American Welding Association, past president of Bristol Little League and past officer of the Bristol Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was an architect, engineer and patent holder.
   Mr. Harr enjoyed the simple pleasures of life — breakfast with his friends at Teddy’s, golfing, woodworking at Clearbrook and photography. He was active in his community, and to all who knew him he was a teacher, a friend and an inspiration. He had a zest for life, lived positively and to the fullest with great love and consideration for all who were close to him.
   His is predeceased by his wife, Lee Stang Harr, parents G. Hugh Harr and Virginia Lee Harr, and brother, Ellis U. Harr. Surviving are his best friend and love, Barbara Sears; his three sons, J. Hugh Harr and wife, Kathy, Stephen D. Harr and wife, Sue Thelle Harr and David P. Harr and wife, Elaine; stepdaughter Sally Stang and stepson Eric "Ric" Stang; eight grandchildren, Robin Harr Wood, Wesley Harr, Zacahary Harr, David P. Harr Jr., Jake Harr, Toria Harr, Melissa Harr, Sonja Stang; great-granddaughter, Mary Brighton Wood; and his brother, Richard Harr, of Bristol, Tenn.
   A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, at the Club House at Clearbrook in the ballroom. Funeral arrangements made by Kimble Funeral Home in Princeton.
