WEST WINDSOR The township and Certified Valuations Inc. will hold a public meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Council Room A of the Municipal Building to discuss property-tax revaluation, with a question-and-answer period to follow.
In March, the Mercer County Board of Taxation directed West Windsor and several other municipalities in the county to undertake complete revaluation of all property within their borders.
West Windsor has gone through the necessary process of drafting specifications, interviewing various approved revaluation firms, and seeking out qualified bidders to perform the work. This process has led to a contract with Randolph-based Certified Valuations to conduct this program.
A publication with frequently asked questions is available from the assessor’s office to provide a brief overview of the revaluation process. These questions and answers provide a basis for understanding the process of a revaluation program undertaken to assure the equitable distribution of the real property tax levy among all owners of real property within West Windsor Township.
