   A drive-through cashier at the McDonald’s on Route 206 reported having a soda thrown in her face at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 31.
   The cashier told police that at approximately 11 p.m. she was in the midst of handing a customer, who had just ordered a small Coke, a straw when he threw it in her face.
   The light blue car, occupied by four or five teenagers, then drove off, police said. The cashier said she was temporarily blinded by the soda but otherwise uninjured and was unable to retrieve any further identifying information on the vehicle, police said.

   Andres Chico, 30, of Perth Amboy was charged with driving while intoxicated at 4:50 p.m. Jan. 24.
   Mr. Chico was driving a Brickman Landscaping truck when he backed into a vehicle parked in front of a residence on Deanna Drive.
   When police arrived on the scene to question Mr. Chico they detected the smell of alcohol on his breath. They then performed field sobriety tests and found him to be intoxicated, police said.
   Mr. Chico was charged with reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, having an open container in his vehicle, failure to exhibit his registration and not having his lights on along with his wipers.
   He is awaiting a court date.

   A burst pipe in one of the apartments at Marlborough Common caused portions of two apartments to become flooded at 4:57 p.m. Jan. 28.
   Firefighters entered the apartment where a pipe had burst and succeeded in shutting it down and preventing further damage.
   Two residents were relocated as a result of the damage to the apartments.

   M & A Recycling on Old Camplain Road reported 1,000 pounds of scrap aluminum stolen at 1:01 p.m. Jan. 31.
   An employee said that sometime between Jan. 28 and Jan. 31, 1,000 pounds of scrap extruded aluminum were stolen from a green dumpster on the eastern end of the property, police said.
   Police found that a hole in the 5-foot fence that divides the property was most likely the way the thieves gained access to the site. The aluminum was valued at $650.
