Christina Sculerati
Christina LaBarbera Sculerati, 91, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, at home.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she lived in North Brunswick for 25 years before moving to Monroe five years ago. Ms. Sculerati was a communicant of St. James the Less R.C. Church, Jamesburg, and a member of the North Brunswick Golden Age Club and North Brunswick Senior Citizens.
Her first husband, Carl LaBarbera, died in 1965, and her second husband, James Sculerati, died in 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Marie Ross and her husband, Robert, of Monroe; two sons, Carl LaBarbera and his wife, Marlene, of Spotswood and Ronald LaBarbera, of Las Vegas; a stepdaughter, Lillian Everett of Mercer City; two stepsons, Daniel Sculerati of Baltimore and Charles Sculerati of Princeton; six grandchildren, Carl LaBarbera Jr., Rick LaBarbera, Christina Ross, Robert Ross Jr., Michael Ross and Lenora Bennett; and nine great-grandchildren, Alexander and Ryan Bennett, and Ariel, Madison and Christina Ross, Megan and Nicholas Ross, and Nicole and Diana LaBarbera.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 14, at Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, Jamesburg. Interment followed at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
