Eleanor Catherine Ingram Stoll
Mrs. Stoll, 88, of Freehold Township, died Feb. 9 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Keansburg and Middletown before moving to Freehold Township. Prior to retiring 23 years ago, she was a licensed practical nurse at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, where she worked the night shift and was employed for more than 20 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Keansburg, and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Monmouth Chapter No. 251, Atlantic Highlands. A former Girl Scout leader, she was also a member of the Keansburg PTA. She loved to travel and enjoyed the ocean. Mrs. Stoll was predeceased in 2003 by her husband, Frederick Stoll. Surviving are three daughters, Arlene F. Cherry of Nesconset, N.Y., Carolyn Kacedon of Jackson and Janette Daly of Florence Township; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Fred E. Schweitzer
Mr. Schweitzer, 78, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died Feb. 10 at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in Mountainside, he resided there prior to moving to Cliffwood Beach 53 years ago. He was a retired type maker at American Type Founders, Elizabeth, where he was employed 46 years. He was also a school crossing guard in Aberdeen for eight years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet G. Schweitzer in 1996; a daughter, Ellen Schweitzer in 1955; and a son, Thomas Schweitzer in 1968. He is survived by a daughter, Jane Delaney of Howell; a son, John Schweitzer of Matawan; a brother, Arthur Schweitzer of Garwood; a sister, Evelyn Infantino of Kenilworth; and five grandchildren. Interment was at Fair View cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
Brian J. Cross
Mr. Cross, 63, of Middletown, died Feb. 11 at home. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he relocated to Middletown 34 years ago. He was a computer programmer at Philips Van Husen, Bridgewater, the past eight years. Mr. Cross is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda Douglas Cross; four sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Donnell Cross of Belgium, and Brian D. Cross, Douglas P. Cross and Patrick T. Cross, all of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Steven Dunning of Jackson; his former wife, Nancy Cross of Lakewood; and three grandchildren. A memorial service was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements. Helen M. Niblett
Mrs. Niblett, 85, of Freehold, died Feb. 11 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Freehold for most of her life and was a graduate of Freehold High School, Freehold Borough. She had also attended Rider College (now Rider University), Lawrenceville. Prior to retiring, she was a secretary for Dr. Harvey Weinstein, and had previously been employed in the payroll department at the A&M Karagheusian rug mill, Freehold. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold, and belonged to the Freehold Township Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. Niblett was predeceased in 1966 by her husband, Leonard Niblett. Surviving are three nieces, Jean Lackett and Barbara A. Zoppi, both of Howell, and Roberta Nardi of Richmond, Mass.; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends, including Colleen Cashman of Freehold. The funeral service was held at St. Peter’s Church, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
