Carl E. Nyman Sr.
COLUMBUS Carl E. Nyman Sr., 90, of the Homestead Section of Columbus, died Feb. 20 at home. Born in Bayonne, he had resided in Columbus for the past 18 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a retired bank clerk with Morgan Guarantee Trust in New York City. He was active with The Mansfield Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred; his son and daughter-in-law, Carl Jr. and Diane of Florida; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Huber-Moore Funeral Home of Bordentown.
Loretta T. McElrea
Loretta T. (nee Bontempo) McElrea of Bellmawr, 90, died on Feb. 19.
Beloved wife of the late Andrew C.; devoted mother of Andrew A. (Donna) of Roebling, owners of Donna’s Deli and Grocery in Roebling; mother of Linda L. (Anthony) Lepone of Mount Laurel; dear sister of Peter Bontempo, loving grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of 10; also survived by four great great-granddaughters, Loretta’s biggest joy in life was keeping her family together with love, traditions and extraordinary Italian cooking.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday at Mary Mother of the Church, Bellmawr. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Masoleum, New Street, Bellmawr.
Donations may be made in Mrs. McElrea’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.

May C. Gilbert
BORDENTOWN CITY May C. Gilbert, 82, of Bordentown City died Feb. 16 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Philadelphia, she had resided in this area all of her life.
She was a retired employee of General Motors Corp. in Ewing where she had over 31 years of service. She was a member of the AARP, the Senior Citizens and the United Auto Workers.
The wife of the late Howard Gilbert, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Joe Hensley of Bordentown, a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Sue Gilbert of Burlington Township, three sisters, Elizabeth Holmes and Grace Bell, both of Florida and Marcella McDonald of Texas, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Monday in the Columbus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or Hope Hose-Human First Aid Squad.
