Princeton-area teens are invited to the Princeton Public Library 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, when the library and Corner House present "Friday Night Live."
The free event is open to all high school students.
Planned as a fun-filled evening, Friday Night Live will feature performances by a cappella groups from Princeton High School and Princeton Day School Around 8, Cats Meow and the Testostertones and the band Vintage Seltzer, whose members attend the Hun School. The disc jockey D.J. will provide additional music.
The students will set up the library’s Community Room in a café style. Refreshments will be provided.
Friday Night Live is a joint effort of the library and Corner House Student Board, the members of which wanted to create a substance-free environment where Princeton teens could promote unity among area schools.
Corner House Student Board member Sasha Jean, a Princeton High School senior, said organizers "are all looking forward to hosting a night where high school students from everywhere in Princeton hang out and have fun together."
"We’ve been interested in doing a program together for some time," Teen Services Librarian Susan Conlon said. "The students from Corner House have brought a lot of creative energy to planning this program."
