Library to host youth teen night on March 4

Princeton-area teens are invited to the Princeton Public Library 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, when the library and Corner House present "Friday Night Live."
The free event is open to all high school students.
Planned as a fun-filled evening, Friday Night Live will feature performances by a cappella groups from Princeton High School and Princeton Day School — Around 8, Cats Meow and the Testostertones — and the band Vintage Seltzer, whose members attend the Hun School. The disc jockey D.J. will provide additional music.
The students will set up the library’s Community Room in a café style. Refreshments will be provided.
Friday Night Live is a joint effort of the library and Corner House Student Board, the members of which wanted to create a substance-free environment where Princeton teens could promote unity among area schools.
Corner House Student Board member Sasha Jean, a Princeton High School senior, said organizers "are all looking forward to hosting a night where high school students from everywhere in Princeton hang out and have fun together."
"We’ve been interested in doing a program together for some time," Teen Services Librarian Susan Conlon said. "The students from Corner House have brought a lot of creative energy to planning this program."
