A Township Line Road resident reported that someone put fecal matter on the door handles and windshield of his vehicle at 11:44 p.m. Feb. 19.
The victim told police that he had been parked at Hillsborough Cinemas between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m. When he returned to his vehicle he found the fecal matter on his vehicle.
The victim said he called police because on his way home he had noticed he was being followed by an unidentified vehicle. The vehicle stopped in front of his residence while he was pulling into his driveway, police said.
James Gill, 18, of Tudor Court was charged with underage possession of an alcoholic beverage at 10:43 p.m. Feb. 15.
Police observed a black Pontiac traveling north on Farm Road approaching Valley Road make a right turn without stopping at a stop sign. Upon questioning Mr. Gill police found an open bottle of wine in his vehicle.
They issued him complaint summonses for underage possession of an alcoholic beverage, failure to stop and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
Mr. Gill is awaiting a court date.
Police were called to a car fire on Hillsborough Road at 8:02 a.m. Feb. 14.
The driver told police he had been traveling east on Hillsborough Road when smoke began to come out of the engine compartment of his 1991 Honda Civic. The driver continued driving before stopping when he saw flames coming out from underneath his car’s hood, police said.
Hillsborough Fire Companies 37 and 38 responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, although the car’s engine and passenger compartments were burnt and its dashboard and windshield areas damaged.
