This letter is in response to the recent letter to the editor from Sayreville resident Dan Scully (“Change Timing of Light, Eliminate Traffic Nightmares,” Suburban, Feb. 17).
Scully’s complaint has already been addressed. Back in November, I recommended to the governing body that the traffic light at the corner of Crossman Road and Main Street be changed during the morning rush hour from the sensor it is currently running on to a timer. CME Associates, the borough engineer, submitted this request to the county engineer on Nov. 17.
I agree this will allow a better flow of traffic during that time of day. At this time we are still waiting for a response, and a second letter is imminent.
