Judy Faherty and Trudy Iwanski to leave in summer.

The retirements of two veteran employees of the Valley school district were announced at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
Their retirements were formally accepted via a unanimous Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education vote.
Judy Faherty, who has been with the school district since 1964 (prior to the 1965 regionalization of Valley schools), will retire July 1. District Personnel Director Richard Lang said Ms. Faherty might be the most senior employee in the district.
"She will be sorely missed," Mr. Lang said of Ms. Faherty, who has spent most of her time in the district teaching kindergarten at Hopewell Elementary School.
Trudy Iwanski, who has been with the district for 25 years, also will retire, effective Aug. 1. Ms. Iwanski is the district’s science supervisor for grades six-12.
