Two students at Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, were awarded prizes in the 26th annual New Jersey High School Student Arts Show held recently by the duCret School of Art in Plainfield. The art school provides high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to display their work and have it judged in a statewide competition. This year, 484 pieces were accepted for the show, representing 27 high schools from across the state. There were 47 prizes and 43 honorable mentions awarded in 16 categories. From the local area, Rebecca Johnson earned first prize and Christopher Favale was awarded second prize, both in the oil painting category.
