Lucy Murray Briggs, 92, died Sunday at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born and raised in Hopewell, she had been a resident of Hamilton for 60 years.
Ms. Briggs retired from the State of New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles in Trenton. She was an active member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, and also served as a deacon.
Daughter of the late William and Christina Hartmayer Peeck, wife of the late Robert L. Murray and Everett W. Briggs, and sister of the late Arthur E. Peeck, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Evelyn and Milton G. Marion of Pennington; a brother William H. Peeck; one granddaughter, Susan E. Myers of Phoenix, Ariz.; three stepchildren, Robert Briggs, Warren Briggs and Catherine Briggs; and sisters-in-law, Benvenuta Peeck of Hamilton and Helen Murray of Ewing.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, 1599 S. Broad St., Hamilton, with the Rev. Jean Pinto, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Hopewell.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton.
