The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission will present the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company in a performance of “A Dragon’s Tale” at 2 p.m. on April 3 at the Richard P. Marasco Center for Performing Arts, Monroe Township High School, Perrineville Road.
The Chinese festival will feature traditional dances of various ethnicities and folk dances of different provinces, all combined to include a blend of Eastern and Western choreography. An eight-member dance troupe will be accompanied by four musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments.
Tickets cost $12 and are available in advance at the Monroe Township Senior Center, in the municipal complex, Perrineville Road, and at the door on the day of the performance.
The program has been made possible in part by a grant from the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
