Flotilla’s seamanship course to begin April 5

Construction industry to host Career Day April 9

The fifth Construction Industry Career Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. The free day-long event invites students, parents, educators and career seekers to visit exhibits and participate in interactive demonstrations conducted by members of New Jersey’s construction trades. Representatives from various trade unions, trade associations and four-year colleges in New Jersey will be available to answer questions about the construction industry. Organizations scheduled to participate as sponsors include the Bricklayers Labor Management Council of New Jersey, Building Contractors Association of New Jersey, Construction Roundtable of New Jersey, Construction Industry Advancement Program, Drywall and Interior Systems Contractors Association, New Jersey Carpenter Contractor Trust, New Jersey Laborers–Employers Cooperation Education Trust, AIA New Jersey, District Council of Northern N.J. Ironworkers, Operating Engineers Local 825, Painters & Allied Trades District Council 711, and the New Jersey State Building & Construction Trades Council.
