Louis F. Marut
   Louis F. Marut, 66, of Pennington, died Friday at home.
   Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was a self-employed landscaper in the Pennington area for many years.
   He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1958 to 1963.
   Son of the late Louis A. and Ada Burroughs Marut, he is survived by his wife Karen Pazden Marut; six sons, Louis, Gary, Steven, Scott, Dan and Jeffrey Marut; a stepson Glen Zielinski; a daughter Karen DuPee; a brother Donald Marut; six grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Route 29, Titusville.
   Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery, Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville.
   There will be no calling hours.
   Arrangements are by the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.

Carrie E. Austin
   Carrie E. Austin, 86, of Pennington died Sunday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton.
   Born in Chambersburg, Pa., she had resided in the area for many years. She retired from Acme Markets in Mercerville in 1984. She then owned and operated the Pennington Auction Gallery.
   A member and past deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Titusville, she was a member of the Board of Directors of ECHO in Trenton and of a local Canasta Club for over 50 years.
   Daughter of the late Ira and Lea Liedig Sheffler, and wife of the late Roland Austin, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Angelo Lamendola of Pennington, Jean and Walt Chidzik of Delaware, and Carolyn and Dennis Babini of Florida; four grandchildren, Anthony Lamendola, Michele Grochmal, Richard Chidzik and Eric Fritsch; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Grochmal and Makenna Lamendola; several nieces; and many special friends.
   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, with the Rev. Timothy Slemmons, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Titusville, officiating.
   Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery.
   Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
