Anna Conk

Mrs. Conk, 87, of Middletown, died March 18 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Rumson, she resided in Fair Haven for many years before moving to Middletown. Mrs. Conk was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Conk, in 1967. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Debbie Conk of Middletown, Joseph and Virginia Conk of Florida, and Walter and Betty Conk of Hutchinson Island, Fla.; a sister, Millie Ziegler; a sister-in-law, Edie Conk of Oceanport; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.

Olga Dougherty

Mrs. Dougherty, 77, of Red Bank, died March 17 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Jersey City. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, John. She is survived by two sons, Wayne of Aberdeen, and Martin of Newark; and two grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

John William “Jack” Honchar Jr.

Mr. Honchar Jr., 68, of Rumson, died March 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Passaic, he resided in Garfield prior to moving to Rumson in 1970. He was a private label sales manager at White Cap Inc., Houston. He served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of All Saints Memorial Episcopalian Church, Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Patricia Ruane Honchar in 2002. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen John and Amy Honchar of Stockton, and Julian R. Honchar of Long Branch; a sister, Adwina M. Arends Honchar of Tinton Falls; and one grandchild. A memorial service was held at All Saints Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

Cecilia T. Hollywood

Mrs. Hollywood, 94, of Red Bank, died March 14 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had been a resident of Red Bank since 1948. Mrs. Hollywood was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was a secretary in New York City. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a past president of the St. James School PTA. Mrs. Hollywood was predeceased by her husband, George A. Hollywood, in 1983; a son, Andrew J. Hollywood; three sisters, Sister M. Martina, S.S.J., Catherine Chamberlin and Ann Young; and a brother, John Cogavin. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Maryalice Hollywood of Little Silver; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and William Oakerson of Middletown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Church. Interment was at Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Shrewsbury. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.

George A Deitz

Mr. Deitz, 73, of Hobe Sound, Fla., died March 16 at Manors Nursing Home, Hobe Sound. He resided in Matawan before moving to Hobe Sound, 16 years ago. Before his retirement, Mr. Deitz had been a teacher, coach and athletic director at Matawan High School, where he compiled an outstanding winning record in baseball in Monmouth County’s Shore Conference. He served in the Korean War and received two Purple Hearts. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; four sons, Dr. Michael Deitz of Forked River, George Deitz Jr. of Tinton Falls, Terrence Deitz of Simsbury, Conn., and Thomas Deitz of San Diego; a daughter, Margaret Shea of Rockville, Conn.; two brothers, William Deitz of Hobe Sound and Hal Deitz of Owassa, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial Mass will be celebrated April 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church, Hobe Sound.
