Emanuel Friedman

Mr. Friedman, 91, of East Brunswick, died March 24 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Mollie Smith Friedman; and a daughter, Meryl Friedman of East Brunswick. Graveside services were held at Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.

Mary Ellen Keane Mayham

Mrs. Mayham, 76, of East Brunswick died March 28 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Frank Mayham; and three nephews, Hugh, Bruce and Frank Irvine. A Mass is planned for 9:30 a.m. on April 1 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.

Helen E. Dragon Muraszko

Mrs. Muraszko, 94, of South River, died March 25 at home. Her husband, Walter Muraszko, died in 2002. Surviving are two daughters, Hedy L. McHose and Jennie M. Zieniewicz, both of South River; and a grandson, Christopher Zieniewicz. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Elfrieda K. Matula Stanley

Mrs. Stanley, 92, of Milltown, died March 26 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander. She was a founding member of the Milltown Historical Society. Surviving are a daughter, Joan G. Stanley of New York City; a son, John T. Stanley of Boston; and two grandsons, Wheeler J. and Dawson C. Stanley. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Walter W. Ward

Mr. Ward, 74, of East Brunswick, died March 28 at home. Surviving are his wife, Claire Wickett Ward; two sons, Robert Ward of Jersey City and Thomas Ward of Bridgewater; and five grandchildren. A service is planned for 8:30 p.m. on March 31 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation will be private.

Frances Kleiman Zaentz

Mrs. Zaentz, 89, of East Brunswick, died March 22 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Aaron Kleiman, died in 1968, and a son, Sandford Kleiman, died in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Michael of East Brunswick and Barry of Copperas Cove, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Arlington Jewish Cemetery, North Arlington. Sherry L. Berkebile Chodzko

Mrs. Chodzko, 56, of Sayreville, formerly of South River, died March 22 at home. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she was a waitress at Red Lobster, East Brunswick, where she worked for 10 years. Surviving are her husband, William; two daughters, Debra Chodzko of Brick and Karen Chodzko of Sayreville; three brothers, Telford Berkebile of South River, Kenneth Berkebile and Henry Berkebile of the Toms River section of Dover; and a sister, Wanda Baczynski of East Brunswick. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.
