The Princeton Junction Neighborhoods’ Coalition (PJNC) is presenting a get-together brunch buffet and fund-raiser for HomeFront at noon on Sunday, April 17, at Ganges Restaurant, located in the Ellsworth Shopping Center in Princeton Junction, West Windsor. The event is open to the public.
"We would like to sponsor this event for people in our community to get together and share a meal, and also some ‘food for thought’ about HomeFront, an organization that builds affordable housing and provides a full range of social programs for the homeless in the greater Mercer County community," said Farrell Delman, one of the organizers of the Princeton Junction Neighborhoods’ Coalition and HomeFront’s treasurer.
Connie Mercer, executive director for HomeFront, will be on hand to speak about the various opportunities for Princeton Junction residents to volunteer for a worthy cause, Mr. Delman said.
Ganges’ proprietors Sri and Srini Chandupatla, who reside in West Windsor, are marking the first anniversary of the restaurant’s opening. Ganges features a range of dishes from both northern and southern India, and specializes in Hyderabadi cuisine.
Ganges will be providing the buffet at cost, enabling 50 percent of the proceeds to be donated to HomeFront. Also, musical entertainment is being arranged.
The cost per person is $20 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the restaurant. For more information, call Ganges at (609) 750-1550.
The Princeton Junction Neighborhoods’ Association is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents in and around the Princeton Junction train station, the center of West Windsor, and for the overall West Windsor community.
