MANVILLE Andrew "Andy" Fecynec died March 30 at the home of his daughter in Colllingswood. He was 83.
Born in Ukraine, he had been a resident of Manville most of his life before settling in Collingswood three years ago.
After 30 years of employment, Mr. Fecynec retired in 1984 as a factory worker from Johns Manville. He was a member of their Quarter Century Club.
He was parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hillsborough.
A son, Peter Fecynec, died in 2002.
Surviving are four daughters, Ursula Wooley of Wall, Heidi Terranova of Collingswood, Helga Schielke of High Bridge and Marianne Lawrence of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held April 5 at the Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hillsborough.
Burial was in St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Cemetery in South Bound Brook.
