Edna M. Golden



   HAMILTON SQUARE — Edna M. Golden, 94, died April 2 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly.
   Mrs. Golden was born in Edinburg and she resided in Hamilton Square and Bordentown before retiring to the Lutheran Home in Moorestown.
   She was a member of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, the Hamilton Grange 79 and a retired employee of S.P. Dunham’s in Hamilton.
   She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Reed, wife of the late Harold B. Golden, mother of the late Charles W. Golden and Sylvia J. Hassall, and sister of the late Harry F. Reed.
   Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol A. and Peter S. Heberling of Columbus and Joan E. and Charles E. Rogers of Ringoes; a daughter-in-law, Karen R. Golden of Hamilton Square; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad St., Hamilton. The Rev. Stephanie Steele will officiate.
   Interment will be in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park.
   Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Robert R. Knight



   FLORENCE — Robert R. Knight, 69, died April 2 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a long time resident of Bordentown and Florence townships.
   In 1954 he enlisted into the Air National Guard and served with the 141st Fighter Interceptor Squadron. During his enlistment, Robert met the love of his life, Gloria DeMarco. They were married on Nov. 3, 1962 in St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown. He was honorably discharged in 1962 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as an electrical contractor. He was the owner of All Phase Electric located in Columbus and retired after 20 years of service. He was employed with Scozzari Builders Incorporated in Trenton. He was a member of the Florence Township Yacht Club and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church of Bordentown.
   He is predeceased by his mother and father, Russell and Rose M. Knight, his brothers, John, Hank and Raymond Knight, and a sister, Rosemary Parker.
   He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria Knight of Florence, his three daughter and two sons-in-law, Donna Knight, Lori and James Heupel, and Kimberly and Adrian Lockett all of Florence; grandchildren, Jessica Heupel, Ashley and Tyler Heupel, Mathew and Brandon Lockett.
   A mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday at the St. Mary’s Church located at 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bordentown.
   Funeral arrangements are under the direct supervision of the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
Andrew Kushnir



   Andrew Kushnir. 83, of Burlington Township, died April 1 at Marcella Convalescent Center.
   Born and raised in Trenton, Mr. Kushnir retired in 1974 as a foreman with CF&I Corp. in Roebling after 31 years service. He then worked for the Square D Corp. in Bordentown Township for 10 years before finally retiring. He was a World War II Army veteran, member of a local American Legion and enjoyed golfing for many years.
   He is survived by his wife, Matilda Steiner Kushnir; also a daughter Andrea Kushnir and a son, Thomas Kushnir. Also surviving is a grandson, Thomas Kushnir Jr. and several nieces.
   The funeral service was held on Wednesday in the Chapel of the Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Interment followed. Rev. Felix Vanza, pastor of St. Clare’s Church of Florence officiated.
   Contributions in his memory may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence.


Edith Kafer-Lawrence



   MERCERVILLE — Edith Kafer-Lawrence, 92, formerly of Bordentown, died March 31 at Mercerville Nursing Center.
   Born in Bordentown, she had lived all of her life in this area.
   She was a teacher for over 25 years at the Clara Barton School before retiring.
   Mrs. Kafer-Lawrence was a member of the St. Matthias Episcopal Church, and the Morning Star Chapter 22 Order of Eastern Star, a charter member of Jos. R. Deacon Lodge 106 Rebekahs, where she held the office of State Chaplain in 1973-74, and also a member of AARP and NJEA.
   Wife of the late J. Donald Kafer and the late Carlton L. Lawrence, sister of the late Charles Rhubart, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Carol Kafer of Pocono Heights, Pa., and Bruce and Louise Kafer of Bordentown; two daughters and a son-in-law, D. Sandra Kafer of Hamilton Township and Donna and John Hesley of Conrad, Mont.; a brother, Edward Rhubart of Turnersville; a special friend, Edna Pope; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 2200 Genesee St., Trenton.
   Burial followed in Christ Churchyard, 130 Prince St., Bordentown.

Margaret Collier Wells



   MOORESTOWN — Margaret Collier Wells, 88, of The Evergreens in Moorestown died March 27 at her residence. She was born in Bordentown and had resided in the Bordentown area most of her life. A graduate of Trenton State College, she had retired as an educator-teacher with Clara Barton School where she had over 35 years of service. Mrs. Wells also was the founder of a nursery school before she returned to her public teaching career. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved the theatre, dancing, traveling, ballet, opera and jazz.
   The daughter of the late Albert and Virginia Dunn Collier and the wife of the late William H. Wells, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jonathan Galloway of Burlington, Vt., and Meg Wells and Joseph Borella, Wolfeboro, N.H., a brother and sister-in-law, William G. and Elizabeth Collier of Chesterfield Township, a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Robert Stenberg of Post St. Lucie, Fla., grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Annie, Dave, Michael and Paul, one great-grandchild, Maitri and several nieces and nephews.
   A memorial service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at The Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Rd., Moorestown. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Bordentown Cemetery.

Edwin M. Larsen



   BORDENTOWN — Edwin M. Larsen, formerly of Madison, Conn., died March 26 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
   He was born May 20, 1924 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Larsen was a veteran of World War II.
   He attended Champlain College, NYU and graduated from Rutgers University in 1949 with a degree in Economics. He had been active in the association now known as SARAH for many years.
   He was an avid bingo player and sports enthusiast.
   He was the husband of the late Lorraine H. Anderson Larsen, son of the late Ole and Thora Henningsen Larsen, and predeceased by a son, Matthew. He was the father of Brett Larsen of Guilford, Conn. and Jennifer Malinowski and her husband Frank of East Windsor; grandfather of Rose Weingartner and her husband Brian of Langhorne, Pa.; brother of Lillian Estes of Wisconsin and Gordon Larsen of Florida.
   Burial services will take place privately.

Ronald R. Van Huff



   BORDENTOWN — Ronald R. Van Huff, 52, of Bordentown Township, died March 26 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro.
   He was born in Trenton and resided in Burlington County all of his life.
   He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
   He was employed by Van Huff Motors, LLC.
   The son of the late Mary Kozma Van Huff, he is survived by his father Edward A.; three brothers, Albert M. of Alaska, Robert M. of Bordentown and Richard J. of Columbus; an uncle, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
   The Funeral was on Friday from the chapel at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover Township.
   Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
