Gladys M. Lidy
   Gladys M. Lidy, 79, of South Brunswick, died Thursday, March 31, at the University Medical Center of Princeton.
   Born on March 28, 1926, in Plainsville, Pa., she resided in South Brunswick for 45 years. She was a cafeteria manager at Middlesex County Vocational-Technical School in New Brunswick. She retired in 1996 after 27 years. Ms. Lidy was a faithful member of Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church of Monmouth Junction, where she served as a deacon for over 20 years. She was also a dedicated member of the Golden Age Club of South Brunswick.
   Her parents, Gladys and Merritt Harding, and her sister, Bessie Carswell, are deceased She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Frank Lidy of South Brunswick; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas M. Sr. and Edith Lidy of Conowingo, Md., and Donald F. Sr. and Elizabeth Lidy of Dayton; five grandchildren, Robyn Broomell and her husband, Russell, of Rising Sun, Md., Douglas M. Lidy Jr. of Conowingo, Md., and Dawn, Donald and Edward Lidy, all of the Dayton; and two sisters, Mary Snyder of Morrisville, Pa., and Margaret Bauer of North Brunswick.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 5, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction. The Rev. John H. Maltby, pastor of Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial took place at Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gladys’ memory to Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 460, Monmouth Junction, N.J. 08852.
